Domestic Violence

Domestic violence is any type of violence committed against another member of one’s household.  In the United States, it is against the law and can have serious consequences.  Domestic violence, however, often involves other issues such as child custody, divorce, retaliation against spouse/cohabitant, etc.  There are different domestic violence offenses including battery upon a spouse or cohabitant and corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant.
